THE DESIGN PROCESS
Design projects begin with a discussion of what is needed and wanted (the two are sometimes incongruent). We will talk about practical matters, such as your budget requirements, and we will have a creative conversation of ideas and images and essence. We typically write a proposal for the project after this initial conversation—outlining details of the project and the total estimated cost—however, a verbal discussion of these points is often satisfactory to the client.
Once we agree to work together, we draft several design ideas for you to see and choose from. You may like all of one design or specific qualities of different designs. If the latter is the case, we draft a second set of designs that combine these preferences.
When the basic design elements have been determined (logo, font, colors, look and feel of the web site), the project moves into a second stage. We create the web pages and integrate their funtional features, then post a your-eyes-only first draft of the site live online. A thorough edit and testing of the site will take place, and all necessary changes and refinements will be made. When editing is complete, we will take the site live and public.
In early stages of the web site development, we will assist you, if you wish, with registering the web site domain name and hosting the site. We offer a very competitive hosting service, with rates below those of Godaddy and other major hosting providers.
PRICE
Because we don't labor under the large overhead costs that design firms do, we are able to offer a very good price for our work. Most clients begin with a budget in mind, and we have always been able to deliver a fantastic project within the maximum they want to spend.
PLACE
We can work together from any distance. Phone, email and fax communication techniques have definitively eliminated the limitations of time and space.
